Services forTherapists

THERAPY

I am what Brene Brown defines as a therapist's therapist.  I didn't seek this designation, but have found myself working with many clinical colleagues since opening my private practice.  I hear how difficult it is for therapists to find their own personal therapist.  The obstacles are real.

Therapists need both a therapist and colleagues they can clinically consult with as part of their professional development, however  a therapist seeking treatment should never feel the two are being merged in their personal therapy sessions.

Our field is a small  and I know that worries surrounding dual relationships, anxiety and fear may accompany those first few sessions.  It's inevitable countertransference may be  felt by both you and/or myself.  The desire to want to be experienced as competent, questions if the other is more qualified and worries about disclosing struggles that may feel personally insurmountable can drive imposter syndrome that at its darkest says, 'I'm unqualified to be a therapist'.

I love working with other therapists. It has taught me so much about the dedication and heart people in our field possess. It has revealed that we are all on a healing journey and some of us are just farther down the road than others. It has also taught me so much about the importance of clinical boundaries in the work and has sharpened me as a therapist.

Therapists tend to lean into their training when it comes to their own personal work and while this can be helpful we ALL have our blind spots and need the support to move past cognitions into the deeper emotional work. I would be honored to join you in your healing journey.

INDIVIDUAL CONSULTATION

I provide one on one case consultation services that focuses on helping clinician's address trauma needs of those recovering from toxic relationships with individuals and systems.

Consultation can also be a supplement to supervision for those who are still in their master's program or gaining their clinical licensure hours.  For far too many supervision is  limited by high case loads,  administrative needs,  supervisors with differing specialties or lack of experience and/or poor fit  because supervision is directly linked to employment.  While I do not consider myself a business coach, I can answer questions about professional development and help you differentiate the needs of the licensure journey to that of your future career.  I enjoy mentoring up and coming therapists and am willing to offer discounted rates to those who are still in school and/or obtaining their hours toward licensure.
